hello world

I am an educator with a background in digital animation and multimedia, with passion in exploring the integration of technology in creative education. Growing up through the evolution from Friendster to Facebook, SNES to PlayStation 5, and stickman animation to Unreal Engine real-time rendering, you can probably guess which dynasty I belong to. I have witnessed how technology has transformed the way we create and tell stories. This inspires and brings a unique perspective to my role as a mentor, guiding the next generation of creative talent.

My journey began with a strong foundation in storytelling across various mediums, mainly video production and animation. After graduating from college, I ventured into the creative industry co-founded a production studio, Northern Lights Films & Studio. Over time, we worked on all kinds of video projects, from music videos, corporate, commercials to motion design, animation, event visuals, projection mapping—you name it!

Our work received numerous awards and recognition at both local & international competitions and film festivals

As our business grew, we expanded our design to focus towards helping brands develop their identity through branding design and storytelling. This experience deepened my understanding of how creative content and storytelling can elevate almost any medium, contributing to business growth and market success. I also realised how it plays an important role in many aspects of life, especially education.

In 2016, I had the opportunity to explore the education industry by teaching a Video Production course at Dasein Academy of Art. It was then that I discovered my passion for teaching and education. I was fascinated by the vast opportunities for growth and personal development through teaching. Inspired by the mentors I have met throughout my journey, I decided to fully dedicate myself to education in 2021 by joining Dasein Academy of Art as a full-time educator. Today, I serve as the Head of Programme for Digital Media, where I manage and design teaching methodologies to enhance student learning through instructional design.

My goal is to make learning enjoyable by experimenting with and developing unique and effective teaching pedagogies. I aim to motivate students to learn and foster a culture of lifelong learning. I believe that motivation is a key factor in encouraging lifelong learning, as it sparks curiosity and drives students to challenge their limits.
